Welcome to our website. These Terms & Conditions govern your use of this website and, where applicable, your registration for and participation in events, competitions, workshops, programmes and other activities offered by Singapore Dance Alliance.

By accessing or using this website, submitting a registration or making a payment, you agree to these Terms & Conditions together with our Privacy Policy, Refund & Cancellation Policy, applicable Rules & Regulations and any event-specific terms.

If you do not agree with these Terms & Conditions, please do not use this website or submit a registration.
 

1. About Us

“Singapore Dance Alliance”, “SDA”, “we”, “us” or “our” refers to:

Singapore Dance Alliance organises and supports dance competitions, workshops, programmes and related activities, including the International Arts Festival (“IAF”) and the International Ballet Grand Prix (“IBGP”).
 

Event Operations and Payment Collection

Dance Culture Pte Ltd is the official event operating company appointed by Singapore Dance Alliance for registration administration, invoicing and payment collection for IAF, IBGP and such other SDA events as may be specified from time to time.
 

Accordingly, where applicable, invoices, payment requests, receipts, card transactions or payment records relating to an SDA, IAF or IBGP event may display the name Dance Culture Pte Ltd.

Payment to Dance Culture Pte Ltd in respect of such an invoice or registration constitutes payment for the corresponding SDA, IAF or IBGP event or service.
 

References to “you” or “your” refer to the website user, participant, parent or guardian, teacher, school, studio, registering party or person making payment, as applicable.
 

2. Website Information

The content of this website is provided for general information and for access to our events, programmes and services. Content may be changed or updated without prior notice.

While we endeavour to keep information accurate and current, neither we nor any third party provides any warranty or guarantee as to the accuracy, timeliness, completeness, performance or suitability of information and materials on this website for any particular purpose.

You acknowledge that information may occasionally contain inaccuracies or errors, and we exclude liability for such inaccuracies or errors to the fullest extent permitted by law.
 

3. Use of the Website

4. Event Registrations

Registrations for SDA, IAF and IBGP competitions, workshops, programmes and other events may be subject to additional Rules & Regulations, eligibility requirements, deadlines and event-specific conditions.
 

By submitting a registration, you confirm that:

• the information provided is complete and accurate;

• you have authority to submit the registration and, where applicable, to register the named participant or participants;

• you have reviewed the applicable event information and Rules & Regulations; and

• you agree to pay the fees applicable to the registration.

Submission of a registration does not override any eligibility requirements or Rules & Regulations applicable to the relevant event.
 

5. Fees and Payments

All fees are stated in the currency indicated at the time of registration or invoicing.

Payments may be invoiced, processed or collected by Dance Culture Pte Ltd, as the official event operating company appointed by Singapore Dance Alliance, or by another authorised payment service provider.

You are responsible for checking the registration details and amount payable before completing payment.

Where payment is made by credit card, bank transfer or another electronic payment method, additional processing time or third-party payment-provider requirements may apply.
 

6. Refunds and Cancellations

Registration and event fees are subject to our Refund & Cancellation Policy and any applicable event-specific Rules & Regulations.
 

Unless otherwise expressly provided in the Refund & Cancellation Policy or required by applicable law, fees paid for competition registrations, workshops, programmes and events are non-refundable and non-transferable.
 

Participants and registering parties should review the applicable event dates, venue, eligibility requirements, Rules & Regulations and refund terms carefully before submitting a registration and making payment.
 

Where an approved refund relates to a payment collected by Dance Culture Pte Ltd, the refund may be processed by Dance Culture Pte Ltd through the original payment method or applicable payment provider.
 

7. Event Schedule and Programme Changes

SDA, IAF and IBGP reserve the right, where reasonably necessary, to make changes to event schedules, performance times, venues, adjudicators, instructors, programme content, categories or other event arrangements.

Such changes do not ordinarily entitle a participant to a refund, provided that the event or relevant service continues to be substantially delivered.

Any entitlement to a refund arising from cancellation, postponement or material change will be determined in accordance with our Refund & Cancellation Policy and any applicable event-specific terms.
 

8. Events Conducted Outside Singapore

SDA, IAF and IBGP may organise or conduct competitions, workshops and other activities in countries or territories outside Singapore.

Where an event is conducted outside Singapore, applicable local laws and regulations may apply to matters specifically relating to the operation of the event in that jurisdiction, including venue requirements, health and safety requirements and other mandatory local regulations.

Unless otherwise expressly stated in writing for a particular event, the contractual relationship between you and us, including registrations, payments and these Terms & Conditions, remains governed by the laws of Singapore, subject to any mandatory laws that cannot legally be excluded.
 

9. Intellectual Property

This website contains material owned by or licensed to us.

This material includes, but is not limited to, text, logos, names, photographs, graphics, videos, designs, layout, appearance and other website content.
 

Reproduction, distribution or unauthorised use of such material is prohibited except with our prior written permission or as otherwise permitted by law.

This website may contain links to third-party websites or services.

Such links are provided for convenience and information only. Their inclusion does not necessarily signify that we endorse the third-party website, service or its contents.
 

We are not responsible for the content, availability, privacy practices or operation of third-party websites.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Singapore Dance Alliance and its appointed event operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from the use of this website or participation in our events, except where such liability cannot lawfully be excluded.

• our Refund & Cancellation Policy;

• the Rules & Regulations applicable to the relevant competition or event; and

• any other event-specific conditions communicated at the time of registration.

Where event-specific terms contain provisions relating to registration, eligibility, participation, scheduling, cancellations, refunds or other competition requirements, those specific provisions apply to the relevant event.
 

Unless expressly stated otherwise, the governing-law and jurisdiction provisions on this page apply.
 

13. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions, your use of this website, your registration for or participation in our events, and any transaction or contractual relationship arising from or in connection with our services shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Singapore.
 

14. Jurisdiction

Any dispute, claim or controversy arising out of or in connection with these Terms & Conditions, this website, a registration, payment, event or service, including any question regarding its existence, validity, interpretation, performance or termination, shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore, subject to any mandatory applicable law.
 

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time.

The version published on this website at the time of your registration or transaction will apply to that registration or transaction, together with the applicable event-specific terms.
